Can glamorous shoes be made comfortable?

Glamour and comfort don’t exactly go hand in hand, do they? Especially not when it comes to shoes. In fact, you can tell by the way women awkwardly strut about in high heels - resonant of a duck waddle rather than a walk, that a glamorous pair of high heels simply can’t be comfortable! Or can they? Take a look at the following ways glamorous shoes can be made comfortable.



CHUNKY HEELS
If you thought that every pair of heels were uncomfortable and impossible to walk in then you’re wrong. Heels differ considerably in their painfulness and generally speaking, shoes with thinner heels are less uncomfortable than those with chunkier, thicker heels. This is due to the fact that the weight of your body is distributed more evenly with heels that have more surface area, thus making it easier to walk and more comfortable.



 SILVER SHOES
Silver shoes on the other hand sparkle right the way through the year and are a glamorous type of shoe whether they are completely flat or have a small heel. Whilst the latter won’t be the most comfortable pair of silver shoes, flat silver shoes that glitter and sparkle with your every move are both ultra comfortable and ultra glamorous and would be suitable for a drink with friends in the pub in a pair of skinny jeans whilst also looking great when worn to the office Christmas party with an equally as sparkly dress. If you are determined to have heels attached to your silver shoes, then opting for a pair of platform heels can often be the comfiest option. Similar to wedge heels, platforms dissipate the wearer’s body weight, making them more comfortable and easier to walk in.



WEDGE HEELS
These ultra stylish shoes have rocketed to popularity in recent years and show no sign of fading from the catwalk runways. Wedge heels come in a wide range of styles and are usually made out of leather, cork, rope or wood, providing a comfortable yet glamorous pair of shoes that are suitable for many different occasions. In fact, the super versatile wedge shoe would not look out of place in the office, clubbing, at the pub, taking the dog for a walk, or even shopping. So comfortable are these glamorous heels that, unlike the spiked heel, you won’t feel like your feet are about to drop off after a mere five minutes wear! There is, however, one downside to the wedge heel. They are predominantly a spring/summer style of shoe as, given their sandal-like style, they’re not particularly suitable for the cold and wet winter months.
