I can't think of a better outfit to show just how fired up I am about getting back to blogging. Gotta love a sweater that everyone can easily interpret how I feel about the hot weather. Singapore, I'm burnin' up for you, baby. ♫ I may look like I'm melting in this sweater but with the AC constantly blasting in the studio and lecture hall at school, it was a blessing in disguise because I was all warm and toasty. And just when I thought I'm all out of puns, my schoolmates proved me wrong with renditions of that popular line from that popular Alicia Keys song and references to Katniss Everdeen.

Why Style Diary instead of the usual ones you see on youtube that goes, "(Insert Season here) Lookbook"? Well, it makes my life easier but mostly because I feel like it's pointless since we don't get the same kind of seasonal changes here and I don't typically dress according to seasons anyway. While it may be hot and humid 24/7, that doesn't stop me from layering a little and styling these outfits! Even though I end up melting every time I step out of the house, at least I am a lump of goo wearing cute outfits. n__n

JUST CHERYL

Yes, I have been gone. Let me explain.

You know those moments where you got your thoughts all typed out but you stop and start backspacing until everything is gone? Well, that's exactly what I just did and how I have been feeling recently. 

Don't get me wrong ⎯ I love blogging. I may not be good with words, but this blog allows me to creatively express myself and put something out into the universe. Despite my absence around here, I never stopped documenting my outfits, capturing moments, editing and planning for future posts/videos. However, even after doing the most crucial part of being a 'fashion blogger', it's been months since my proper outfit post. 

The excitement of creating and sharing something on this blog just ...faded away. Stricken with anxiety and struggling with my insecurities, I over analysed every little thing I do. Maybe I should have done it that way? Maybe I should I worn it like this? What if people don't like it? Right at this very moment, I am wondering, "Maybe I am sharing too much..." I hate that it is so easy for such toxic thoughts to fill my head. Along the way, I was busy worrying about everything else that I forgot the reason why I started this blog in the first place. This is a place for me to be me. Enough second guessing myself and being afraid of what others may think of me. And in the wise words of Shia Labeouf, I need to "JUST. DO IT." and not let my dreams be dreams. 

We cannot simply sit and stare at our wounds forever.

Interestingly enough, creating videos for my youtube channel re-ignited that spark I once felt. Maybe because it is something fun, challenging and extremely new to me? Maybe because there are just so much more I can do in .mov form compared to still pixels on the computer screen? But whatever it is, I am back and feeling better.

FIDÉ FASHION WEEK

Earlier last month, I got invited to FIDÉ Fashion Week! It was my first time at such a fancy event so I was pretty much stoked (even more when I finally got to wear that dress out!!!). We went for the Japanese Couture night and it was amazing. I lost count of the amount of times I kept patting Jon's arms when the model walked down in something I wish I could wear straight off the runway. Beautiful clothes, stylish people, delicious food, good music - definitely a highlight of 2013 for me!

I know I know, I am the worst at blogging. I hope the video diary and slight photo spam of beautiful models and clothes would be suffice for the time being! :'D Yes, I am still alive; the past few months just have been all kinds of crazy. But the good kind of crazy, of course, where I can't wait for the next day. It may have something to do with a certain handsome cat... (✿>◡<) Well, expect more posts soon once my holidays start. DWEEB / DORK / NERD wasn't for me too. But PERVERT? Boy, did I wear this top and gallivant around town proudly. Don't worry, I'm not a huge perv or anything, unless you count the things I would do to Robert Downey Jr... But with the countless amount of girls you will see at town wearing the same GEEK top, I just love how different and rad this top is. Told you Carapherawrztwo is awesome and only brings in the best stuff!!! Watching people check out my top made me so happy, I swear. And with such a sporty top, I could easily wear it with a pair of leather shorts or (safety shorts+)stockings. But I decided to change things up a bit and pair this top with something unexpected.
