Could you tell I love drawing hair? Haha, when I saw a selfie on her instagram, I couldn't help but draw it out! Finally got around to completing it and I really love how it turned out! :'D Ever since I posted my first Babe Alert portrait here, I thought I could make it a section on my blog where I draw some of the loveliest babes I know and feature them since they inspire me a lot! At the same time, this would get me back into the groove of drawing again. I got a bunch of portraits to complete so I hope to update Babe Alert soon! x

When I found out that my queens of youtube were going to be here in Singapore for the Digital Fashion Week, I knew I HAD to meet them. Jenn actually visited earlier this year but I didn't get to see her properly because she had to leave early (but she was an angel & commented so I wasn't too sad) . I definitely wasn't going to let the opportunity slip by again!

I figured the perfect gift for them was a painting because Jenn drew me last year during her Bullseye University livestream! I actually had to redo both of them because I was sooo out of touch with traditional mediums. But I thought giving an actual painting would be much better than a print out of a digital artwork.  I am really, really happy with how the paintings turned out :')

*✲ﾟ* 31ST OCTOBER: DFW MEET & GREET *✲ﾟ*


The meet and greet event was 12 to 2 pm and thankfully I am finally ~free from school~ to be able to go for it. When I arrived right before 11 am, there was already a queue but it wasn't too bad ...yet. Soon enough, the queue started to get so long that I think it extended out of the building. Totally didn't regret waking up super early for this!


While queuing, I got to meet the other DFW bloggers — David Guison, Nellie Lim, Willabelle Ong, and Chloe Ting. They were all so sweet and I was even able to personally talk to them for a bit. 
I got to catch up really quick with my lovely babe Willa, who's gorgeous like always. Even though she's been busy jet setting all over the world (cue my "Don't you need to go to school!" nagging) and we have not hung out properly in ages, I am so proud of her and happy to hear that she's doing well! 
♡ ( •⌄• ू )✧ Ahhh it was great to meet one of my fav bloggers, Chloe Ting!!! I have been following her blog & lookbook for more than 2 years. She's such a sweetheart and I'm so glad we got to chat! She even took a photo with me on her camera!! *o* Thank you for always inspiring me, Chloe!!

✌️ I am so happy I got to meet David too! I have been following his blog for a while now and needless to say, his fashion style is A+.

She's even more gorgeous in real life *u* She even told me that I look great (something along those lines - I was too excited) and I barely managed to squeak out a "not as great as you!!" back. You have no idea how much that means to me, coming from someone who's been such a huge inspiration to me.

(❁´▽`❁)*✲* It's been a few days and I still cannot believe I actually got to actually meet, talk to and hug my queen, Jenn Im! (hey it rhymes!) She is absolutely beautiful in real life and her smile has such warmth and an infectious quality to it. I was just so stunned that I was actually meeting someone who has been a role model to me, someone who I never thought I would get to meet because of how far apart we are and someone who I could only see as pixels on my computer/phone screen. I could barely function properly (thank god I managed to scribble down a letter to Jenn with everything I wanted to say) in front of my all time favourite youtuber that I have been watching since 2012! She is the most genuine, down to earth and raddest babe ever and I am grateful to be able to meet her irl!
I told her that she drew me during her livestream last year and so I did a painting for her as a gift in return. And before I said anything else, she said, "Oh you're Cherylsaurus!!" so I think my life has been made and I can die happy because Jenn actually remembers me from all the way back then?? I mean seriously, just how amazing can this babe be? ♡ Even though our time together was short, I just felt so blessed to be able to bask in her presence! I LOVE YOU 5EVA AND SO MUCH MORE, JENN ♡


I am eternally grateful to be able to meet my role models and the best babes ever. But also, I'm sad that the moment happened so fast. That's to be expected during a m&g and I get that they were trying to get through as many people as possible within such a short span of time. I just wish we could hang out and talk properly! Ah well, until next time I guess! x

OH, IT'S MONDAY AGAIN.

I got really good at drawing myself suffering while I had a 1500 word essay to tackle a few weeks ago. #priorities - I got them. Anyhoo, sorry for the lack of updates! Been so crazy busy with school lately, to the point that I just sleep my weekends away. Last friday, I was running on less than 4 hours of sleep, all I had for breakfast was coffee milk and I spent the rest of the day being productive as heck. I was just dead tired and not hungry at all. How weird.

Hehe, my new baby guppies (3rd generation!). So glad the guppies are all lasting way longer than my Tamagotchi pets. :'D

The past one week has been crazy and it's taking a toll on me(could be the reason why I'm always losing my appetite). So much to do, so little time. My usual 'sleep at 6 am' ritual has changed to 3-5 hour naps in the evening. Which is actually pretty good because I stay up through the night and become a zombie in the afternoons until I get to sleep again. I realised I work better at night than in the day. It's much quieter, cooler and less humid. Can't wait for this to be over so I can do my own stuff (aka blog more!) and not be so constantly stressed.

Wish I could just sleep forever.

I felt like the pink from my new shades really tied everything together in this outfit. It was a pop of colour, yet not so attention-grabbing at the same time. The title refers to a subtle hint of pink, like the one in this outfit. Pink and faded brown colours does remind me of a lotus flower too.

Also, I hope you don't mind of the boring cement wall that acts as my background for my recent and upcoming posts! It's an area near my house along the corridor and my awesome sister has been the one who's been taking my photos lately. No space in the comfort of my home to take full view shots or time to go downstairs to take pictures of me with different scenery! Though, I do find this the best option for now as I am way too shy to ask my friends to take photos for me... I can't stop giggling.

2 weeks ago, my life was a hectic mess. And here's me in an appropriate shirt.

All I could think about was completing my work for my assessment. I hardly had the time to sleep. Work first, sleep more work second. Sleep was totally out of the option!! Assessment was on monday morning and me & my friends stayed over at school on sunday night! It was pretty fun at first. People were dancing to music, laughing, watching weird videos of not-so-sexy people dancing seductively at a beach, chatting. Then things mellowed down, people went home, and it got quieter. And warmer too - the aircon got turned off and it got annoyingly stuffy in the studio. Then we started to feel delirious from the lack of sleep from the past few days. It felt weird because time was crawling. We kept exclaiming, "WTF!? It's not even 3 am yet!!?! What is going onnnnn?" 

We visited each other's space to check on how things were going, to cheer each other on, and to stay awake. Ghost stories were told too! It was nice - all of this togetherness. It was like we are all in this together, like High School Musical minus the constant singing. It was cosy; I liked it. My friends helped me out soooo much that I don't have the right words to express my gratitude! I feel really proud of my work this semester too! :)

Found Object / Cabinets of Curiosities

• Web of memories - made to look like a spider web/dreamcatcher - not so literal cabinet!
• Falling - Suspended bottles. To express on how things are being thrown away so easily nowadays.
• Antlers - I got this cool branch nailed to a mirror on the wall. The mirror act as a not so literal cabinet
• Film - Playing around with the idea of the instinct of putting negatives up against a light to look at them, I sew negatives together and glued into a hole of a door. It looks like a polaroid at the same time.

And finally, assessment was over. We sleepily got a cab and collapsed into a deep 8 hour coma. Then we had to go back to school to pack up and collect our stuff. We were all tired but glad that this is over. Now, time to enjoy our 3 month long holidaaaaaay ~ 

WHEEEE I'm watching Avengers with my friends tomorrow later on! The whole imax theatre to ourselves!!!! I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT WAIT. And definitely need to go to sleep now - it's 4:35 am. (ugh, I know, it's the holidays and yet, I am still up so late. I don't know what I am doing with my holidays!!) We are gonna go shop a little too afterwards~ 

And why hello there, Ben, who's been stalking my blog, and waiting for me to finish writing this so he can go to sleep.
