Here's another outfit from the photoshoot I did with Jasmine a few months back! It's one of my favourite outfits ever. And featuring, if you couldn't already tell - my absolute favourite skirt. It's such a magical skirt; it always looks so perfect no matter how it floats around in the breeze. Brilliant outfit for cosy rainy weathers, twirly dancing and gallivanting around with your wolf pack!

+ Assessment is (gulp) next monday and I am stressed out like cra-ah-azy. But I am crossing my fingers that I finish everything on time and for everything to go smoothly! Will post much more often when all of this mayhem is over. I cannot wait for next monday to be done and over with. One thing that's constantly spurring me on is that we've lots of after-assessment plans made: The Avengers movie with my friends (and the entire cinema to ourselves!!), shopping, partying and LOTS of hanging out! x

I am pretty sure that I was subconsciously channeling my inner sleuth when I came up with this outfit. One of my dream jobs is to be a detective like the ones on Criminal Minds or CSI, but slightly more bohemian -like Sherlock Holmes- and I would love to have a never ending wealth of information. I could be a cool modern gypsy-detective, solving little crimes (like saving cats from trees), running around having butt-kicking adventures, while still being able to have time to paint and visit thrift stores! ...Hey, a girl can dream, right? :)

And you might be wondering, Why am I all dressed up for? Well, it was for my awesome friend Reyme's fashion photog project! It was an assignment where the students had replicate a bunch of photos from fashion magazines and learn how to direct the model on how to pose. I was really shy & awkward throughout.. Seriously, there were some really weird poses that I had to replicate! It only resulted in sudden outbursts of laughter from the both of us. So happy I was able to help my friend out for his project and hang out with Reyme again! I met him on the first day of school and we clicked straightaway. Sadly we weren't in the same class but whenever we see each other in school, we would hug and as if we see each other every day. Love this boy!!

Welp, I'm off to enjoy the rest of this cosy downpour and sleep while I still can! (heh, it's almost 8am now) And again, pardon my missing photos from my older posts as I don't have time to replace them. ;(

IS THIS REAL LIFE?

Sunday, January 29

On friday afternoon, I received an @mention on Twitter. At first, I thought it was one of those spam accounts trying to promote something stupid and I went off to a new page before reading what the entire tweet said. So, you could imagine how shocked I was when I reread it. If I was sitting on a chair, I would have fallen off of it. I wasn't sitting down but I let out a weird muffed squeal in a crowded train though.

One of the street style photoshoot outfits I helped my friend model for got featured in MTV.COM'S STYLE BLOG!
It's been a day since friday and it still feels surreal. It's so unbelievable. It feels like a flower is blossoming in my chest!! I can't even string together the right words to describe how I feel about this. Maybe this is how it feels like to give birth.....?

But this is all thanks to the awesome styling and photography skills of Jasmine Renée Teo!

There's something about these mismatched prints and textures that makes it somehow work nicely altogether. It's definitely very bold and different; I'm not sure if it's everyone's cup of tea but I'm still posting it. That's what Fashion is about, isn't it? Taking risks?

♢ Part 2 of my friend Jasmine's street style photo shoot that I helped modeled for! It was the last outfit for the day and we were super tired from racing against the setting sun from destination to destination! I had to lug my heavy bag full of clothes and shoes around because I didn't have a small enough trolley bag to use (or else I would look like an idiot pulling around a huge luggage bag!). On the bright side, as seen in the photo above, I kind of look like an eccentric japanese girl, says Jas.

We visited Marina Bay Sands (haha it was my first time visiting, can you believe it?) for the last location and was just in time for a water fountain show! The water fountain, lights, lasers, bubbles, fire and projections were amazing against the beautiful night cityscape.
Perfect way to end the night.

Prairie Wolf - also known as a coyote.
The name "coyote" is borrowed from Mexican Spanish coyote, ultimately derived from the Nahuatl word
cóyotl.
Its
scientific name, Canis latrans, means "barking dog" in Latin.

Aren't coyotes beautiful?

In October, I made a short post about helping my friend Jasmine to model for her street style fashion project! It was my first time modeling in a semi-serious way so I was super nervous.. It turned out to be quite fun to be all nicely dressed up and catwalk in the middle of crowded streets!

The colour of my netted cardigan is such a lovely shade of taupe! Not sure why, but I was instantly reminded me of coyotes in the desert. Thus, I decided to stick to the desert coyote theme because that's how I usually am. Always going on about animals. And yes, Jasmine was sneaky and used my pleated skirt as a shawl! You will definitely recognise the skirt in the next photo shoot post, so stay tuned for more! ♡♡

And a funny thing happened: a few days after my tiny modeling stint, a guy texted me, asking if I was interested in modeling and told me to email a tv company! I was surprised and very hesitant because I wasn't sure if it was legit. And he said he got my number from another guy at a Photography convention!? HOW DODGY IS THAT!??! I don't even know who gave out my number! In the end, I turned him down nicely, also because I've got no experience and time to take up that job. But it was funny how his text was so coincidental.

EDIT: OMFG I GOT FEATURED ON MTV STYLE!!!!!

photo shoot sneak peaks!

Saturday, October 15

Here are some photobooth sneak peeks of a photo shoot I did for my lovely friend Jasmine today! I had loads of fun though I am very guilty that I woke up late and missed my 1 hour art history class while doing this photo shoot! Photo #1 was taken the night before as I was packing my clothes that Jas wanted me to bring!! Photo #2 was taken when I finally got home! Wish I took more photos before I bathed because I am starting to like this lipstick shade! I know, the photo quality isn't good but I will do a proper post soon and post the photo shoot photos when they are done! Watch this space for more updates!!
